.250 vs. righties, with a sweet HR/AB ratio. He's Calvin Pickering, only a little thinner....although since Branyan plays 3B I rate him a little higher. 25th roster spot in a deep league, maybe.

I think Branyan is getting better. He made a committment to shortening his swing this offseason to cut down on strikeouts, although he'll still K a lot. His average will come down, but playing at or near fulltime as he is he'll hit 35-40 HR in my opinion.

Yeah, I have read a lot about him shortening his swing as well. It seems like he is making a dedicated effort to reduce his K total to get more PT. 30-35 HR is not out of the question, and no matter what the average, those are usable numbers in a 12 team league.

Of course, as a Brewer fan, I may be overly optimistic.

But what is not to like about a 462 foot HR? His first of two today.

is he worth picking up for the big nat???

Branyan will give you home runs and let you suffer with his batting average. He has great power however, and is worth putting up with the average.

before picking him up, consider that he will most likely be in a platoon and not start against lefties.
