Quality guys off to bad starts

Postby saxeT1979 » Mon Apr 11, 2005 11:30 am

Wanted to start a list of some quality guys that are off to bad starts? I'm hoping to make some trades for some slow-starting players with unintelligent owners.

Some of the players I have in mind are A-Rod, Pujols, Manny, Rolen, Oliver Perez, Javier Vazquez, etc. Keep'em comin...

Finley, Jenkins, Pierre (no steals), Thome, Rollins, Sosa, Andruw Jones are a few others.

Sosa is going to start slow, be slow in the middle, and end slow as well. :-b

Agreed. I wouldnt put him as a quality guy. One who does come to mind that I didnt see mentioned above who should come around is Blalock.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

Tejada? He's hitting .375 with 5 rbi and 5 runs. I don't see that throwing his owners into a panic.

It's going to be really tough to pry a "quality guy" from an owner after 1 bad week, unless the owner is a real doofus.

The guys I'm looking at are more marginal guys with upside like Drew, Rowand, Kearns.
