Usually this isn't a problem if you are in daily transaction leagues. However my job recently blocked fantasy sports websites and so now I cannot get in to check the game rosters before games start...maybe try mlb.com. There is a cool new fantasy draft software site out there that allows you to customize your projections for 2009. www.nosweatfantasysports.com

Upton's benched for the season opener.... Why??

This is hardly an encouraging sign for Upton after a rough spring, but he and Reynolds are expected to be back in the lineup on Tuesday. "I talked early on this spring about getting some left-handed bats in against some of the tougher right-handed pitchers in the league," Manager Bob Melvin said, "and [Cook] profiles out as that." Eric Byrnes (who is not a lefty, but has had success against Cook) will start in right, with Tony Clark getting the start at first, moving Chad Tracy over to third.
Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.

Is this the same moron who intentionally walked Marco Scutaro to get at a red-hot Bobby Crosby in 2004 (while managing Seattle)? I have a long memory, and don't get to watch many games.

Anyone have a reliable way of predicting -- a day in advance -- when catchers will get days off? Day games after night games are most likely, but not always. For leagues where you have to do a transaction the day before to get a player in a game, it can be tough to rack up extra catcher games to get extra R and RBI. Is there any place that aggregates information on this?
