No, here's what will happen: He'll start Hairston tomorrow, Hairston will go 0-fer (because it's Peavy he's facing), then Dusty will have the excuse he needs to play Neifi again on Wednesday.

It was rather illogical that you would expect full season's output from him when he'll be back on the bench in 4-6 weeks anyways. Walker is a plain better player.

Thank goodness someone else recognizes Dusty's unnatural love affair with Perez. I just don't get it either. The keep Dubois on the roster for his power at the risk of losing Kelton to waivers and then in AZ he uses Neifi as a PH in a situation needing basically a HR??? He has 8 in three years.

Hairston's biggest obstacle is not his injury status, it's the fact that Dusty is a platoon freak and a lefty/righty matchup addict, and a bad one at that. Even when a righty batter is better vs a righty pitcher than the lefty batter, the lefty still hits. Nuts.

I know there were other factors involved with the Sosa trade, but this is a new low. They traded Sosa for a guy that can't even get playing time when the guy supposedly blocking him goes down. Are the Cubs trying to make the deal look even worse or something?

We'll See JHJr today and, I surmise, for the bulk of the time TWalk is out. HR on BBTN forcasted a "quarterback controversy" at 2B when Walker gets back, even call Hairston a "star." Whatever HR. Hairston should put up some decent #'s however at the top of that lineup.
