I need to be the FIRST person to find out who is a team's newly named closer. Where can I go to get that info for a quick day to day update? Currently I have Mike Adams, Brazoban, Affeldt and Fuentes. All horrible I know, but I don't need awesome closers just closers. Thanks for the info.

yeah last year I scored Hermanson and Affeldt because people from their respective home cities posted here saying they had heard local news proclaiming them closer. Have faith in the cafe

Watch the thread titled "Closer Watch". That is the money thread. It's listed as a "Sticky" toward the top of the Baseball Leftover page. It rocks!!!

Whats the odds of Betancourt and/or Hermanson closing for their teams in the near future?

My testamonial: I started out last year with zero closers and made a deal to get Percival and Billy Wagner at the beginning of the season. Since Wagner got hurt, I was in extremly lacking in the closer department. Because of the cafe I picked out Betancourt, Takatsu, Wickman, and Affedlt last year. So the moral of the story is to just stick to the cafe and you will be alright.

Betancourt isn't even first in line if Wicky should falter (btw the run scored today against Wickman from a couple of bloop hits, he looked solid). Howry would be the next to get a chance to save. He and Rhodes are considered the top setup guys by all acounts I've heard from the Cleveland area.
As an aside, Jason Davis is also one to watch for. There's been talk that he'll be the closer of the future for the tribe.

According to our very own "Closer Report" it had Betancourt backing up Wick. Thats why I mentioned Rafael.

I will also have to disagree with our Closer Report on the Cleveland situation, as IMO Howry is first in line the next time Wickman gets hurt, or if he remains ineffective.

Will there be some big star or something next to a guy's name if he is newly named the closer on the team? If not, anyone think that is a good idea? Thanks again for the heads up on the closer thread!
