The first of many exciting Met victories today. Another BRILLIANT performance by Pedro! Carlos being Carlos and taklng the lead with a 2 run blast into the right field seats. Jose Reyes hustling a routine single into a double, and a big THANK YOU to Bobby Cox in one of the most IDIOTIC, Greedy moves I have seen in years.

A brilliant pitching performance by John Smoltz resulting into his second loss of the year in a game that was a pitchers dual and because of the ignorant decision to leave a guy in regardless off the pitch count has pedro The Winner.

Here is a guy that has been a closer for the past 3 seasons. In his longest game pitched in years, and what was basically his first game, as he didn't make it out of the first inning in his first start and you leave a guy in after 115 pitches? Someone was NOT thinking.
