When is Alex Sanchez coming back, and worth a spot?

I'm in a 10 team 30 player league, standard 5x5, so it's deep.
I could use a bit more steals, do you guys think when he comes back, he'll bat leadoff and get 30+ steals?

sanchez is supposed to return by the middle of this week. if sanchez immediately jumps back into the starting line-up, he's a great play for average, runs and steals. the question is, with the recent success of gathright, why roll with sanchez?

i have both, so i don't really care, but if i were a devil rays fan, i'd want to see the long-term solution begin sooner than later.

yeah, yes...

DRays general manager today said that there is a good chance that Gathright will be staying with the big club.

So they have a decision to make this week -- Gathright or Sanchez. They are pretty similar players from a Fantasy perspective. But Gathright can at least catch the ball. My guess is that if they keep Gathright they will trade or cut Sanchez. Gathright is the future. Sanchez is a placeholder.

I have Sanchez and I'm getting ready to cut him to pick up Gathright. I've got my finger on the button waiting for the final word.

Considering how lousy a big leaguer Sanchez is, not only does it make sense for TB to dump him, it would be a PR masterstroke. Even though we all realize no quality guy will ever be shown the door for testing positive, they could spin this beautifully.
