quick ?...how does YAHOO use the DL status...?

Postby Clevelander » Mon May 12, 2003 8:50 am

example...i just moved in JETER to SS even though he still has the red DL by him. reports say he's playing tuesday/tomorrow...

they may make this change but if they don't unlabel him as DL and i have him in there as a starter does he get the stats or is it nul and void til they remove the DL...?

thanks for any input on this...

They probably won't remove the red DL until he plays. I would think that if you have him as a starter and he plays you will get the stats for him, but I'm not sure.

You'll get the stats for it, and the DL insignia will be taken off tomorrow.

I dunno...Yahoo is notoriously slow activating players and removing the DL. But I think it's possible you'll still get the stats if he plays. Good luck!

Yahoo does all of the promotions, demotions, DL status changes and position eligiblity changes once a day at like 4 am for all changes made the previous day. Usually, a team won't take a player off the DL until right before they are about to play their first game back, because they need to have the use of that roster spot until then. So, the Yankees probably won't officially take Jeter off the DL until about an hour before gametime tomorrow, meaning that Yahoo won't make the change until around 4 am.

I need more help with Yahoo DL guys. I can't find a way to pick up a guy on the DL without having to drop one of my players, even if I have DL slots open. Any ideas?

you would have to drop a guy to pick up a guy on the dl. once you pick up the guy on the dl, you have to place him on your dl. once you put him on your dl, you can pick up another player.
