No need to panic, right?!?

Postby The_Idiot » Sun Apr 10, 2005 8:09 am

When I drafted this team, I thought my offense was top notch. I knoew that I had some pitching issues and some speed issues, but I made some moves to address them. What I didn't expect was for my offense to $uck this much. No need to panic, right?

Here is my roster in a 5x5 Roto 12-team non-keeper.
C1 Greene
C2 Buck
1B Teixera
2B BBoone
3B Blalock (I traded Mora to get him)
SS Tejada
OF1 Sheffield
OF2 Dunn
OF3 Wells
OF4 Finley
CI Hafner
MI Greene
DH ABoone
Bench - Bonds, Tavaras, DRoberts, Barmes
SP - Ol. Perez
SP Harden
SP Pettite
SP Eaton
SP Lee
SP Miller (DL)
RP Guardado
RP Gonzalez
RP Otsuka
RP Brazoban

Any suggestions on where I should go from here?

If you got Blalock for Mora straight up, you shoud go back to that manager to steal some pitching as well!! You must've given him more than just Mora?

You have no lack of power. Teix and Blalock could hit 50 Hr's each. They probably won't, but they could. You could easily afford to trade away Finley or Sheff for a great pitcher. Try for a Hudson or C Zambrano. Sheff has that nagging shoulder, and you could sell Finley high w/ Garrett and Vlad batting in front of him (Big RBI opportunities.) For that matter, you probably don't need Bonds, so if somebody thinks he'll be back anytime soon, I'd dump him. (Take into consideration I don't like the guy anyway.)

About them sucking, it's only been what? 5 games? I've got Pujols, Arod, Crawford, and Ichiro and i'm getting beat. What's that tell you? Brad Wilkerson (not on my team) is having a career week and will never do it again. Things happen, just be ready for the long haul. Have patience, but trade for some pitching!

Thanks for the input! I actually have made it clear that Sheff is on the block. I tried to get Zambrano for him - Sheff and KGreene for Zambrano and Reyes, but the guy shot be down.

And yes, I was able to deal Mora straight up for Blalock. It is fairly easy trading O's here in B'more.

Nice team, i dont think theres any real need to panic. Wait for a hot stretch from one of your hitters and try trading him for some pitching.

Btw, how did you become a steelers fan in baltimore?
