Yeah thats because there is a full team that you can make out of waiver wire wonders each year. People are always looking for one even though the chance of getting one, your lottery ticket, may not be soo great.

This question is so stupid I cant believe I am replying, but 1st off Florida line up is a WHOLE LOT BETTER than Houstons.
Delgado & Cabrera are FAR better than any player in Houstons line up...then throw in Mike Lowell, Lo Duca & Castillo, not to mention Pierre himself.

He's shows enormous potention, and he was killing at the end of last season. But he needs a lot more at bats before he's on the level of Juan Pierre.
I watched him tonight against the Reds, and he's incredibly fast. Couldn't believe how fast he got down the line -- like Deion Sanders fast

Pierre is far better. Just think about it. Houston would jump at Taveras Pierre trade in a heartbeat.
