Not panicking with only 4 games in. This team is too talented to worry, but when ya think Matsui gets thrown down in the 7 hole? he strikes out wayyy too much to be there and Wright is a much better fit. Thoughts?

anything to help them win A game.

Wright is going to be an excellent 3 or 5 hitter for most of his career. Batting him 2nd wouldnt be a bad idea at all IMO

Batting Wright 2nd is a hot topic on a lot of Mets forums. It definitely makes a lot of sense. But 3 switch hitters at the top of the order is too attractive to bail on this quickly. I don't care about the Ks so much as long as he can at least get to that .350+ OBA he had hitting out of the 2-hole last season.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Maybe my suggestion of moving him down to the 7 hole motivated him. He had a good game yesterday and I would be more than happy with that performance any game
