Worst Game Ever

Postby acsguitar » Sat Apr 09, 2005 12:31 am

AFter playing MVP 2005 for 2 months I have decided its the worst game ever....

Most unrealistic piece of crap ever...
anyone want my copy for 10 bucks...

Randy Johnson vs redsox low outside fastballs home run

basically the computer hits home runs every pitch and then when you bat you are lucky to hit a grounder to the 2b...

game sucks..worst money spent ever
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

LOL, I also have the PC version (I think this is what you have) and I think the game rocks! What skill level do you have it on? You realize you can adjust the gameplay sliders to reduce the computer's power if you're having problems with it? I personally don't reduce their power, and I play on MVP skill level, but because I play on that skill level...I have to up User Contact and Power a little to make it a little more fun.

I think the game is awesome.

I think the game is great. I play on All-Star mode and the computer rarely gets more than 3-4 hits off of me in any game. With Pedro, I had a perfect game through 13 innings but couldn't get a run for him. He allows a single in the 14th, I take him out, and win the game in the bottom of the 14th :*)

Hitting for me is the hard part. I also play without the hitters eye because it's just annoying and not at all like real baseball. Ya just have to start laying off pitches, especially oens that look like they're going to your hot zone (they're tempting you - it's usually a ball).

I think you're just mad because the Sox are better than the Yanks in the game. Even though that's an accurate depiction of real life :-b

I like this game a lot also ;-D The only thing that I find unrealistic is that there is almost never a hit right down the line, or a grounder that gets through the SS/3B hole. Besides that though, it's great ;-D :-)

My beef with MVP in the past was that there was no middle ground in the difficulty levels. You'd have it on one setting and you could knock the cover off the ball at all times and you pitchers would all be unhittable. Knock it up to the next level and suddenly you can't buy a hit and your pitchers look like a Special Olympics pitcher at Coors Field.

Some people like playing the game where you always dominate and can win 140 games in a season. I just think that's pointless. What's the fun in that?

Anyway I feel your pain acs.

That's why you mess around with the sliders under game options. You just tweak them until you find it realistic for you. After about 50 games the Cubs are 6 games over .500 for me. I'd say that's pretty realistic.
