98 with no over-clocking? What type of cpu is the new one? What was the old one?

Link I got a pretty cheap heat sink for the CPU since it will hopefully be temoporary, so that's probably a big reason for the high temps. It's 98 F BTW which isn't outrageously high is it?

No not outrageous. I believe (I'll have to look this up to be sure) that the optimal operating temp for an Athlon XP is 85-90. So 98 under moderate load seems a bit high. Just after losing one CPU, something I would keep an eye on.
