more bad news for you pogo on sleeth......

Tigers righthander Kyle Sleeth will miss the rest of the season after having Tommy John surgery today in Detroit. Sleeth, a first-rounder in 2003 out of Wake Forest, has not pitched this season.

Not good :-t Maybe he gets some more zip on his fastball when he comes back. :-B
Thankfully I added some new arms to my minors in our draft, Brandon McCarthy and Anthony Reyes.

If there's any bright side to the news of Sleeth, it's that this injury likely is a big part of why he had such a disappointing 2004 season. His velocity was apparently down at the end of last year. Once this is out of the way and he recovers, hopefully he can show the potential that made him a #3 overall pick.
