look into your magic 8 balls and tell me what i should do with this guy... right now he's just dead weight in my lineup... but i got him for $1 in an NL-only keeper league... i can't drop him at that price...

Wait a week or two and Luke Scott will have done so bad that Biggio or Burke will be forced into LF, meaning Burke will get his playing time.

Seriously, Luke Scott was an 0-for-20 waiting to happen. What were they thinking starting him?

I dropped Burke...no point having him for me for now as Berroa just knocked in a homer today :p Picked up Otsuka to anchor my ERA and WHIP, but if there's any news about Burke I'll reevaluate him. For now, he's just not worth it to me

Welcome to my second base nightmare.
I drafted Burke and Utley for a combined $8 in our salary-cap league.
As far as what is available on waivers that would still keep me under the cap, the answer is "nothing much."
So, I just get to sit on them and hope one or the other breaks into the lineup soon.
Good news is, we count errors and batter Ks against you, and they can't get any of those on the bench.

I totally agree with LBJ...Luke Scott, with no AB above A ball coming into this season, had no business pushing Burke to the bench. Phil Garner is an idiot. Scott will be back in the minors before long.

Have I mentioned Phil Garner is the idiot reincarnation of Jimmy Williams? He sac bunts Willy Taveras over twice! Taveras can swipe that base easy...this crap happened to me last year with Ensberg...

Wait it out. I'm hopeful injuries will open the door for Utley. For Burke, it's just a matter of time. For both, I believe, that is the key.

Unless a trade/injury happen Utley isn't going to hit even 400 ABs.

We'll see when Berkman gets back.

i wouldn't be so sure about utley... david bell just isn't as good of a hitter as utley or polanco, so the phills will eventually realize their best option is to stick bell on the bench. :-)

as for burke... i concur with LBJ. at some point they're going to have to let him play. that said, after berkman comes back, i'm not really sure what they'll do....
