on the little note thingy:
Apr 6 Dodgers shortstop Cesar Izturis played well on Tuesday, going 2-for-4 with a RBI against the Giants. The first of those hits was a lead-off home run off San Francisco ace Jason Schmidt.
Views: Izturis is coming off a season in which he set career-highs in batting average (.288), runs (90), RBI (62) and even homers (4). He, like the Giants Omar Vizquel, would be much better off if fantasy baseball included defensive highlights as a category. But since most leagues don't, he's little more than a backup in NL-only leagues.
Backup in NL only leagues? I have him starting in a mixed 14 teamer. Granted not the best SS, but he's not a guy you should find on the WW.
