I think Barmes just answered your question. He just hit another bomb.

I would also like some input on this question...but have no advice to dispense. Seems like Cantu might face tougher pitching in the AL East and will not have Coors as his home park, but is he still a better option?

I think alot of Marcus Giles owners are asking themselves this question. Hell, Im one of them.....think I'm going to go for Barmes, because of Coors and his SS/2B eligibility. I think Cantu is a flash in the pan at the moment

Barmes is the obvious choice. He plays 1/2 his games at Coors. Worst case, just sit him on the road and play him every time he's at home. If he hits .300 this year you can bet he's gonna be one of the top run scorers hitting in front of Helton.

I like Barmes as well but I not totally sure I picked him up already in a couple of leagues.

I think it's gonna come down to who you have on your bench. I have Marcus and picked up Cantu instead of Barmes because I don't have a backup for Aubrey Huff. Looking at your roster I see Matsui will have 2B eligibility soon, but Lowell doesn't have a backup. I think maximizing games played is crucial to winning. While Barmes might have better split stats, I would advise you to go with the 3B eligible Cantu.

On target as usual, Hybrid.
As for who to drop, I'd have to cast away Pineiro. I know a lot of guys here like the guy a lot, but the health issue notwithstanding, he's just prone to too manty big innings for my liking. Sometimes I think Pineiro, Gil Meche and Adam Eaton are the same person. Absolutely nasty for one trip around the order and then the fun begins. (When might it dawn on their organizations that perhaps these guys might be better off in another role where their talent might be maximized?)
