i heard that he'll play thursday at the latest, but the espn announcers said they flew him back to atlanta for an mri. let's keep our fingers crossed.

Marcus Giles returned to Atlanta today for an MRI on his injured left knee.
Manager Bobby Cox said Giles likely would miss at least three games. Pete Orr is starting his place today. He has a lot more experience at second base than Wilson Betemit, who is primarily a shortstop and third baseman. Apr. 6 - 6:17 pm et

All I heard was that he went back to ATL to further doctor evaluation (from the tv broadcast now)
