"He didn't JUST have NO curve,"
Don't be so tough on people.
you're kidding... right?
however, the fact that vasquez was hitting mid 90's is promising.

Here... how about this? "He didn't only have no curve." Translation: "He didn't only lack his curve."
Same meaning, but the original quote was confusing. You'd get docked for it in a comp class, but it's acceptable grammar (if not the most eloquent).
Your wisemen don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick...
Thank god none of my leagues use 'Grammatical Errors in Post Game Blabbing' as a category.
I can't really get on a player too much for language issues. I talk to people on the phone all day @ work and most of them don't speak very well.
And, FWIW, if YOU miss out on what to look for when you are facing JVaz because you misinterpret the intricacies of someone's 'review' of his pitching (sic), you would probably pick it up by the second or third pitch anyway.
One has to wonder how a team like the Cardinals or Yankees would do against him though...!!

Well...it's called, "EBONICS"
One more time...Vazquez is fine!!!
Haze, I hate to take you to task, but it's quite possible that Vazquez is NOT fine.
When a pitcher is tipping his pitches, there's a problem in his mechanics. It could be something as simple as a maneuver the pitcher makes with his glove on certain pitches. If that's it, it's easy enough to repair. But if there's an issue in his delivery that is giving hitters a legit clue as to what they're about to see, it's a major problem...and very likely the same one that plagued Vazquez throughout the second half of last season as well as in spring training.
Again, I don't know what is causing Vazquez to tip his pitches, but rest assured that in the majority of such cases, the solution is far from a cinch. And if that's the situation for Vazquez, he's going to be anything but fine, at least for the near future.
Ok, my brain just exploded from reading this thread.
My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.
