Short update on Vazquez

It was perfectly acceptable grammar, though it would be easier on the eyes (and ears) if he'd said, "He didn't just lack a curve." That's the intended message.

But, the point is the Cubby clearly said that Vazquez was tipping his pitches, which means it's something he can fix fairly easily.

Actually, this is how I see it...

CAPS mean emphasis, [square brackets] are assumed words that are left out.

So:

"Javy didn't JUST have no curve today, he [was also tipping his pitches so we knew what was coming]."

So in essense, he had no curve today, but not JUST that alone was not the problem, as he was also tipping his pitches.

The quote is fine, not a double negative. How did so many posts about grammar get written in here anyway

I have Vaz in one league and I hope he doesn't not find his curve, as well as stops not never tipping his pitches.
