Well, Houston doesn't have a true CF, so he may still get PT when Berkman returns, with Scott sitting down. That said, batting 8th won't help the SB potential, especially when they have the pitcher bunt him over in sacrifice situations. Until he leads off and shows he'll get regular PT after Berkman returns, I agree with the assessment that Clark is a better option right now.

I had Taveras going last night and was very pleased, if he can continue his production and show off some speed he'll be a very valuable pickup.

Thats it, Lane I knew there was another guy who I thought was out there with Biggio. Funny cause I did actually hear about biggio playing second know that you mentioned it.

Well it's probably between Scott and Taveras for PT when Berkman returns. Who ever is playing better at the time. I think Lane is safe as they've been trying to get him a lineup spot for a couple years now if I'm not mistaken.

Taveras will still start when berkman comes back the only question is that the astors might put burke in sometimes and move biggio to the OF just to see what burke can do.

Another thing with Taveras is that he is batting in the 8 hole, so unless there are 2 outs, he will continue to be bunted over by the pitcher instead of stealing.

If he keeps putting the ball in play like he has been, hopefully he will be moved up in the order and can get some SB attempts, since that is really the only reason any of us are interested in him.
