Trivia Future

Just trying to gather some opinions and suggestions on how the trivia game might/should develop. Things we have in mind for now...

- A separate mailbox just for trivia questions. That way the questions won't junk the regular inbox, and you can simply switch to your "trivia box" and always find questions to answer.

- The PM will also display the fastest time so far. After all, it does make a difference if it's a tricky one where you have a lot of time for research, or if it's just a quick guessing game.

- Display everyone else's answers once you have submitted your own. After all, everyone has just one guess, so after that, why not take a look at what the others thought?

- Have the guy who asked the question post the answer as well. The answer could be revealed immediately after the week is over (allowing the winner to be determined quickly). Or the correct answer could be revealed immediately to everyone who has already submitted their answers.

Not sure if we well implement any/all of these - just some things to toss around. Any ideas, thoughts, suggestions?

I like pretty much all of the ideas. Just one minor edit to one of your possible changes - I'd just like to know if I'm right or not, and if I'm not don't tell me the correct answer.

Also, don't tell me the quickest time so far- I want to figure out the answer as fast as possible, and I don't want to read any extra...

I like the separate box idea and the show everyone else's answers ideas, though.

The problem is that it can't be done automatically. Let's say the the correct answer is "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim".

The replies are...

- Anaheim
- LA Angels
- Angles

For the human eye, all replies are correct, but if the Webhamster compares the replies, he simply couldn't tell. So I'm afraid it's either show the correct answer, or keep it a secret until the week has passed.

I like the idea of a separate inbox, and also displaying the answer after you take your guess. Now I'm gonna go think up a question...
