what does everybody think of him? any projections for this season?

I targeted him last season for a big year but with elbow trouble and a finger injury he disappointed.

He plays for a bad team, he's always had control problems and he's a health risk. I'll be staying away this season for sure. Worth spot starting only in 12 team leagues or less.

Obviously I'm a Bucs fan, but I actually think he will have a strong year. I have him in a 11 team 6X6 league as my last starter and will definitely have him on a short leash but if you look at any projections including CBS Sportsline, alot of people are predicting an era of around 3.8 and a win total of 13. This is obviously a conservative measurement, if he has a solid year he could win 15-17 games with a 3.5 era. I'd latch on to him and have a short leash, the Pirates are improved and the bullpen should be real solid. He's bound to win close games.
