Here's my starting lineup (backup in parenths)
C: Mauer (Lieberthal)
1B: Helton (Delgado)
2B: Vidro (Cuddyer)
SS: Rollins (Furcal, Barmes)
MI: Furcal (Cuddyer)
3B: Rolen (A-Ram, Cuddyer)
CI: A-Ram (Cuddyer)
OF: Pierre, L.Gonzo, G.Anderson (Cuddyer)
DH: Delgado
SP: Santana, Halladay, Bonderman, L. Hernandez, Pineiro(DL), Millwood
RP: Kolb, Guardado, Affeldt, Adams, Brazoban
(Barmes was an add on after I put pineiro on DL. Might drop Millwood when Pineiro comes back)
the 5 I kept: Helton, Santana, A-Ram, Rolen, Halladay
my picks in order (I picked 9th)...
1. Rollins (xtra base hit monster...only 26)
2. Pierre (pts stud...age 27)
3. Furcal (fills MI nicely...only 26)
4. Kolb (closers went early and often...unfortunately)
5. Delgado (a steal here IMO)
6. Guardado (injury risk)
7. Livan Hernandez (9 CG last yr. hope his arm doesn't fall off)
8. Luis Gonzalez (trusting he stays healthy)
9. Vidro (bounce back this year?)
10. Garret Anderson (high risk, high reward)
11. Bonderman (a steal here IMO)
12. Mauer (high risk, high reward)
13. Piniero (high risk, high reward)
14. Cuddyer (sleeper fills in at 2B,3B, and OF)
15. Affeldt (need closers in this league to win IMO)
16. Brazoban (maybe Gagne is hurt alot this year?)
17. Millwood (I'm wondering if he's worth it)
18. Adams (hoping he wins/keeps the job)
19. Lieberthal (backup for Mauer)
I think I grabbed enough young studs early so that I for sure will have 5 sure fire studs to keep next year...while at the same time filling my needs (which were primarily MI and OF).
Any thoughts?
