I am an old time player, who never led the league in Average, OBP, OPS, HR, RBI, Doubles, Triples, Runs, Hits, times on base, or extra bases. Despite that, I managed to get inducted into the Hall of Fame!! Over the course of my career, I managed to accumulate one of the top career OBP in baseball history, just missing out on the top 50. I'm also in the top 100 for career baseball average, having hit above .300 for 11 years in a row. So you can see, I was no shlepp. Figured out who I am yet?

Well, here are some more hints - I never hit more than 10 HR in a season!! I had a short (5 seasons) and relatively unsuccessful career as a manager (never better than thrid place). And did I mention that my first career hit was off of Mickey Welch, himself a future Hall of Famer....
