Ok, Ok, I know it's like a golden rule not to jump to conclusions after one day, but is Clint Barnes worth looking at when he's playing half of his games in Colorado? I know he's just a rookie, but my middle infielders are pretty weak and i could use a decent one.
Do you think he can keep up consistently okay numbers for they year?

Secondly, I think he will have a fine year playing at Coors. He won't be anything special but will not hurt you if you have a poor 2B. I project something like .290 ave, 85 runs, 70 RBIs, 15HRs, 15 steals.
I'm sure I read somewher that he was a doubles machine in AAA last year which can always bode well for hitting in Coors. Someone else here should be able to confirm his stats from last year.
Yep, I think Barmes is one of the best value picks at 2B or SS this year. He'll put up solid numbers, especially at home. You should probably hope that he continues to bat leadoff or 2nd and doesn't get moved down when Atkins comes back, though. Batting high in the lineup, you can expect something like .300-18-75-12 SB- 90 R.

heh i can say i'd be all for him continuing the pace he's on after this first game. i had him playing on two of my teams but really i think he's definitally a solid option if your weak at middle infield. he can play both ss and 2b and he plays at coors half the time. he brings decent speed, average and pop and is a solid bench option or an acceptable starter if you ignored that in the draft. he is a rookie so expect some slumps, but if you can live with that or somehow catch them right as they're coming on i say go for him.
