If the Yanks put Giambi at DH where does that leave Sierra? On the bench?

Pretty much. He will get 300-350 ABs assuming he spot starts at DH and in the OF spelling Matsui/Sheffield.

Giambi hit in the DH spot for NY today. Sad to say, but Sierra is a better hitter than Giambi these days, and should be in NY's DH spot over Giambi.

Siearra will get the occasional start like he did on opening day when there is a left pitching (although certainly not every time) The main reason Seirra started the other day was Torre liked his lifetime numbers against welss (.385 BA).
Against other lefties he may DH and put Giambi in the field and sit tino, but it depends on how everyone is doing. He is mostly a late inning pinch hitter though for when they need a HR
