Ok, see I remeber Looper doing this, over and over and over and over

he now is on pace of 162 blown saves and an infinite era

Wow. That's all I can say about that comment.

8-o

Looper is the closer. He was 29 for 34 in save opps last year. Not exactly over and over and over. :-t

While it's just one game, and you shouldn't overreact....I'd be willing to bet Urbina is being looked at more seriously right now.

That's exactly my thought on the matter...welcome to New York, Pedro!!! He had a kickin' game for the most part...after the first inning shakes...12 K's is stellar! Too bad he didn't get the W (especially in a points league where they count for 15!!!)!

I thought this thread was going to be a joke about how Pedro was so mad that he killed Looper. :-b

I doubt it. C'mon now it's only one game. Sure it magnified because it's opening day and potentially Pedro's first Win as a Met but not a big deal in the big picture.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Agreed. However, seeing Willie's face after the HR's was priceless... :-b %-6
