My first AUCTION draft. Whoa, way different than I’m used too. I went for a few big names to use as trade bait later on down the road and then tried to get lucky with a few up and comers. I was nervous...players went higher than projected...I was thrown off a bit. Here is how it went:

To put it nicely, your offense is atrocious. Other than Guerrero, you don't have any impact hitters whatsoever. Cabrera for $16?.

Pitching is decent, but it won't pull you anywhere near first place without a better bat.

I'm in the same boat as you... Plan for next year.

My team was just added to the league. Most other teams had 10 - 15 keepers from the previous year. I didn't have a lot to choose from but you are right, I don't have any hitting....

Not much on the WW either.

Maybe I'll trade Vlad for a couple cheap guys for next year.

To be blunt, your offense will keep you from winning. Try to make some trades if you can.

It's a pretty big challenge to come into such a keeper-heavy league like this. If I were you I'd try to focus on young, cheap guys that can help you in the years to come. Vlad has definitely got a few more years in him, so don't let him go unless you get plenty in return. I might try to get something for Izzy while you can too.
