This was a difficult one for me, but I went with Jay. Both are outstanding, but Jay has more killer material, in my eyes. Dre has been around longer, but Jay has come out with the best stuff.

i was gonna vote for dre for all his producing stuff, but i went with jay because i think the stuff he has actually come out with has been better.

Dre.....but just barely.

As with my comments on the Dre/Cube battle, I think Dres' overall contributions (NWA, Snoop, Eminem, etc) give him the edge here. Rap would be a much different thing if he'd become Andre the accountant.

Jay is damn, damn good though. If he unretires and makes more awesome material, I could see him passing Dre with a couple more smokin albums.
