what is his deal?
News: The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Cardinals general manager Walt Jocketty is a little concerned about closer Jason Isringhausen's return from offseason hip surgery. "He just seems a little out of whack," said Jocketty. "He sometimes gets that way with his mechanics. Physically, we believe he's fine. We have to assume he'll figure it out pretty soon."
Analysis: Isringhausen has averaged 34 saves over the past three seasons with the Cardinals. Keep him in the lineup until his status becomes clearer.

is there any chance he losses his job? if so is insidepitch correct with this assessment?
ST. LOUIS
closer Jason Isringhausen
next in line Julian Tavarez
then Cal Eldred
future closer Chris Lambert
would tavarez be a good pickup?

i could definitely see him struggling in the early going but i think he will be fine overall. tavarez would be next in line but if you are scrounging for saves there are probably better options.
