There was no save for Gordon tonight. Too big of a lead, and not a save situation.

Yup, when the lead is over 3 runs, saves are not given
btw, if it had been a save situation, Mo would be out there

A Hold is credited any time a relief pitcher enters a game in a Save Situation, records at least one out, and leaves the game never having relinquished the lead.

tom gordon entered the game, got 3 outs and he ended the game never giving up the lead.

a hold right?

It wasn't a "save situation" though.

According to what you said, no, right, because it wasn't a save situation?
