Is Hawpe starting for the Rockies or is he platooning with Mohr. Could Hawpe win the job eventually? All response is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

hawpe will likely share time with mohr...but look for hawpe to be their starting RF soon... :-)

mohr can play all OF positions...so if anyone goes down in the rockies OF...mohr will likely take the available spot...which would mean more playing time for hawpe...

I'll take an anti-Hawpe stance. He'll get most of the starts in RF for Colorado, but he'll play havoc with your lineup in the process. First of all, like most of the Rockies hitters, you don't want him starting away from Coors. So that's 81 games down the drain to begin with. He's also going to frequently sit vs. lefties, so you'll probably lose another 20 of his home games to boot. That doesn't leave a whole lot to get charged up over. Unless he's one of your final three roster spots on a 25 man roster, you aren't likely reap many dividends.
