Rockies: Atkins lands on DL

The Rockies placed third baseman Garrett Atkins on the 15-day disabled list Sunday. He has a strained right hamstring, the Associated Press reported. Atkins is eligible to come off the disabled list on April 18.

Atkins was slated to start at third and bat second this season, but his run at the Rookie of the Year award will now be delayed. Fantasy owners needing a quick fill-in should grab Jeff Baker, the prospect called up to take Atkins' place.

Quick, somebody is gonna get playing time at coors field. Somebody pick him up! ;-)
