Fortunately, the game is being played nowhere near there...
No offense meant...But do you guys have any idea how different the weather is, when you're talking about locations nowhere near Yankee Stadium? We're only a couple of hours away from gametime...What's happenning a hundred miles away really doesn't matter, at all.
PA hmm let me... rain may be headed east to the bronx maybe?
Central PA and the Bronx are very far away from eachother.
Unless you've got reasons to believe otherwise, what's happening in one place doesn't usually correlate to what's going to happen in another place. Weather changes pretty easily when it's traveling that far.
I can drive to the Bronx in 4 hours. It ain't that far. The idea that the weather in Central PA might not have something to do with the weather in NYC later is whack.

I think a lot of people don't realize how fricking big PA is. It could be snowing in central PA and take 6 hours before it gets to NJ, let alone the Bronx.
I drive back home to WI occassionally and PA is about 60% of my drive (like 7 hours).

do storms travel 60 miles an hour?
I am asking, I don't know honestly

Sorry, but I'm not going to take meteorological advice from a person who uses the word "whack"...

Depends on how fast the wind is moving. But generally, no. I would guess 20-30 is more like it. (but that is just a guess - where is that cafe member who works for a forecasting agency?)

Just look at a weather map from 2 hours ago (for instance) and then look at it now. That should give you a good idea as to what it will look like in 2 hours.

dude you drive slow... I used to live on the Delaware river (east border of PA) and have family near Mercer Boy out on Rt 79 (about as far western PA as you can get) and I've done it in 4.5 hours without breaks. And I don't drive all THAT fast
Currently 43 and (gasp) clearing up a bit?!?! I see blue patches in the night sky...
