Doug Davis in the 5th of a very legit private league....well very legit except for this guy I guess.
And Beltre at the end of the first isn't too bad. I've been taking him 2nd in almost all my draft and have him in every league but one. Hopefully it works out...then I'll owe Cornbread a beer.
I couldn't believe it! someone took Juan Pierre with the 2nd overall pick. His 1st pitcher taken was A.J. Burnette in the 10th round. I'm a Pierre fan too, but thats just rediculouse

If you can get a player 3 rounds later, it's a bad pick, regardless of how good he ends up being. But as far as waiting until May, I wait until June, give my players a little bit more time
I was in a draft earlier this week that Brian Roberts went in the 3rd round....with Kent, Loretta and Boone still on the board...

Not the worst possible. If you remember after last year most of the rankings had Santana and RJ as the 1-2 punch overall. Also, if the guy wanted Santana bad enough, it's a guarantee (or should be) that he wouldn't get him for his 2nd pick.
Jeter 1.6 and Pavano 3.4 was pretty bad in a private league I drafted this year. Oh man do I love bad picks.
In 1 of my drafts, someone took Hudson 3rd overall and then followed that up with Mulder in the 2nd.
In my $$ draft, Pudge went with the 2nd pick in the 2nd round, Mulder and Mora in the 3rd, Loretta in the 4th, B. Boone and Pavano in the 5th, R. Hernandez in the 6th, and Wolf, Overbay, and Womack in the 11th.
