Sin City?

Postby tuff_gong » Sat Apr 02, 2005 2:40 am

Has anyone else seen this flick? I saw it tonight, and I must say, I was very impressed. It somehow exceeded the high expectations I had for it (though i was pretty sure i was going to enjoy it no matter what). I think all the cast members did a great job. Ones that surprised me with their performances was elijah woods awesome ability to play a villain. This was also the first time I can ever say I liked what Josh Hartnett did in a movie (even though it was brief). I am definately looking forward to more Sin City movies (I read somewhere they are gonna make a couple more). What about you guys? any other impressions from some cafe members?

Amazing movie .... it made it that much better that there were 3 main characters that narrated the story equally rather than just one. The action scenes were loaded, and I actually followed the storyline with ease. Devon Aoki (Miho) just completely kicked everyone's ass, Elijah Wood was very impressive playing the role of the villian, Jessica Alba was hot as hell, and Clive Owen and Mickey Rourke both did a great job carrying a 1/3 of the load each. Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro, and Rosario Dawson turned in strong performances, while Nick Stahl's performance was the frosting on top of the cake. Just wow. ;-D

Yeah, this is one you must see. Awesome action scenes esspecially the one's with Mickey. He couldn't have done a better job than he did. Perfect guy for the part. I thought that we could have had Alba in a few more scenes, but overall "Nancy" was freaking on fire. ;-D

My favorite in the movie was definitely Elijah Wood's character. So friggin cool. He never screamed. Sick. I was prepared to hate this movie as I don't really like any of the actors that were in it so I was very surprised with how much I enjoyed it. Ultra-violent and slick as hell. Definitely recommended.

All I can say is WOW. ;-D

Very rarely do moves live up to the hype when they are as heralded as this one was but this is one of those exceptions. Must see.
