I closed on my first condo yesterday with my fiance. I'm moving in tomorrow (unfortunately in what's supposed to be a monsoon) and I can't wait for this damn day to be over. Not like anyone cares but I'm bored at work and pretty damn excited about it.
And on a side note, if anyone ever plans on using self storage (Pods, etc.), don't use Door to Door storage. What a** the guy was and they're making me pay for time that I don't need.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Congrats JRM - dont forget to get a bottle of your favorite wine on your way home. I think the finest glass of wine I ever had was sitting on our couch the first night in our new home surrounded by boxes.
Take a few minutes to enjoy the moment in the midst of this hectic time.
Way to go JRM..by the way Pedro is a met now...Anyways Thats pretty sweet..I'm hoping next year me and my lady can afford a place...I have to get hired from being a contractor...Congrats...moving sucks but its great when you are done and can sit back and drink a beer
Thanks a lot. CB, have any recomendations? My fiance is the wine drinker in the house so I wouldn't know where to start. I bought a bottle of cheap champagne the night our offer was accepted but a nice fancy bottle of wine sound very nice right about now.
And thanks for that info ACS. Never heard about the whole Pedro as a Met thing. Still looking for a new avatar actually but it's tough finding one small enough. My other forum allows for one's that are a lot bigger. There was even a thread on my new avatar awhile back but we didn't decide on a new one. Good luck getting the job and finding a place.

congrats jrm..... when i bought my first house with my wife several years ago, it was also pouring down rain that day as well... made it fun moving boxes and stuff.... and the bottle of wine, some takeout, and nice sleeping couch is definitely needed for tomorrow.... as far as what bottle of wine, get what your fiance prefers i know in my neck of the woods, Duplin wine is by far the best seller, but i think it is more of a local known than country wide.....
This definately calls for a glass of Boone's Farm....
Congrats JRM...hate to hear your moving in the rain...but atleast you won't be moving again for a while...(unless you forget to make your house payment one month... )
