I'd glady take Vazquez over Greinke and Lidge over Foulke.

I think it's more likely that both Vazquez and Lidge will have better seasons than Greinke(?) and Foulke.

But, I wouldn't totally rule out Greinke having a breakout year and Lidge not panning out.

There are no gurantees in baseball. He might have high hopes (as unwise as they maybe) on Greinke and Foulke. I've heard weirder things - like "Edmonds for Kazmir cause he's going to K 300 baby!"

I wouldn't be shocked if Greinke beats Vazquez or Foulke outperforms Lidge. I'm not saying it will happen, but it's not outreageously far fetched.

Is Vazquez back from last year's second half debacle? You wouldn't know it off his spring stats. With some guys, I put zero stock in these numbers. But I would have liked to see a little recovery from Vazquez this spring, and it has not been there.

Lidge is outstanding, no worries there. But the Houston setup guys are miserable, and I wonder whether he'll be forced to become more of a two inning closer. This could extract a toll if it becomes a reality.

Again, I'm not saying you're all wet in preferring Vazquez and Lidge. But I do think there's reason to at least make a case the other way.
