Carlos Lee or Corey Patterson?

Postby ThunderSnarfer » Thu Mar 31, 2005 7:51 pm

I have a decent amount of steals, so a 20 stolen base drop isnt that significant.

Would you want Carlos Lee or Corey Patterson in this situation.

and do you think these projections are about right?

Lee- (92-31-106-13-.299)

Patterson- (98-27-84-35-.281)

I think you can get more for a steals guy like CP if you hold onto him, rack up a lead then trade him between a quarter of the way in and the deadline with a guy who sucks for them and is desperate.

I think it's a pretty balanced trade though, which could do you good if you really are set.

I like Carlos Lee a lot for this year. He might even steal more under Ned Yost, I think he had around 13 last season. I'm not sure you can expect Patterson to hit over .280, but neither of those predictions are out of the question

I like Carlos Lee. He's consistent while Corey Patterson hasn't really busted out yet. Even if he does, I think Lee will still put up the better numbers. Please help with my post below.

I'd want Lee.
As long as Patterson is hitting leadoff he isn't going to drive in 84. Plus I'm not expecting him to bat .280. It is not out of the question but I think it is a little high.

Lee as well although Patterson has potential to put up numbers like Lees hasnt done it so I would take the proven player.

Patterson has the hype, while Lee is very underrated. I'd take Lee and not look back.

Lee, easily. He's a five-category player.
