Draft Strategy?

I'm going to be doing my first live draft in the next week, and I was wondering if you guys could give me any tips.

EDIT: The league is not quite set up yet, but it will probably be 12 teams H2H with IP counting for more points, and the other stats' point values placing more value on starters.

How long should I wait to pick up a pitcher... When to grab my first closer? If I want to grab a 'sleeper' pitcher (Prior, Wood) how long ca I wait?

I am basically trying to formulate a game plan so that after the draft I wont be shaking my head going "what happened?"

Sorry 12 teams, H2H not sure about the categories, I think they are counting IP for more .

I think you're going to have a tough time drafting w/o knowing the categories.
