Anyone listening to this right now? First of all, Patrick said something about Francisco Cordero throwing a punch last year. Chavez corrected him and said "What are you talking about? It was the other one." Guys, sports are your life...it was Frank Francisco.

Then Chavez didn't even know who won the Cy Young in the AL last year. When he finally remembered it was Santana, he pronounced his first name "Joe-han" Patrick said it was wrong and he "corrected" himself by pronouncing it "Joe-hanna"

Funny stuff. Chavez is a straight shooter. I like that.

Chavez also said he heard that Johan is tipping his pitches. If Santana can have a second half like he did when he was tipping his pitches...
I think Chavez was probably just trying to get in Santana's head.

I think perhaps the most amusing thing about this is that it points out how little quite a few MLB actually know about their own game. I think it should be a requirement that all MLB players play fantasy baseball for $$ - to avoid complications they would be required to play in AL or NL only leagues, maybe they wouldnt look like idiots then

He knows who won the cy young last year and he knows how to pronounce the name, he was just joking around... come on!

My favorite part of the interview was when he said he would never consider playing for an east coast team, and in particuliar the New York Yankees, and that he took millions less to stay on the west coast... cuz the west coast is the best place to live and best environment for him, a baseball player. Couldn't agree more!!!

I think the Santana thing was a joke, but the Frank Francisco thing wasn't. Of course, Chavez was the one that had to correct Dan Patrick on it. When Chavez named the guy with filithiest stuff in the American League outside of Randy, he named Rivera, Frod and Cordero. Patrick tried to make a lame joke about Cordero throwing punches and Chavez had to tell him it was "the other guy", not Cordero (meaning the other Francisco in their bullpen, Frank Francisco)
