Just thought I'd let anyone know who is still hoping that the 21 year old stud is going to play (at least in the begging of the season) with the Sox can end their prayers. He's been sent down but with the endorsement he will be the first looked at if anything goes wrong in the bullpen. So, despite no love on the roster, keep an eye on him because he will return soon enough.

actually McCarthy will be called up only if there is a position in the starting rotation, if a bullpen spot opens up its Jon Adkins who will be called up
