Draft Position trades?

Postby Cleveland Steamers » Wed Mar 30, 2005 3:18 pm

I am not sure how much draft position trades help a draft. In my 14 team keeper league, where we cant keep our 1st rounder and can only keep our 2nd rounder for 1 year, 3rd round for 2 years, etc. I have been offered picks #2, 30, and 58 for my #7, 22, and 65th. Would this be worth while? Id get ARod instead of Abreu. Is this trade good for me? THanks.

So it is his 1st, 3rd, and 5th for your 1st, 2nd, and 5th. What do you think?

Seriously, your second is more valuable as you will be able to keep that player next year. Likewise, there is nothing wrong with having Abreu this year over ARod-almost a wash. Don't do it. Maybe you could offer him Your 1,3, and 5 for his 1,2, and 5.

one guy who angled for a big'un so he could grab Big Al in the hopes of getting a > market value deal from one of the many Cardinal fans in our Champaign, IL (border area...) league tanked last year and had a horrid team. It didn't pay off at all.
