Whatever topic you choose, make sure it is something that you can find lots of information on. The teacher is not going to be looking for your opinion without any information backing it up, and a clever topic can sometimes make it hard to find information on.

It doesn't matter, just so I can prove my points and be passionate about my topic.
I just found my edited version. It was almost 4 full pages on how idiotic it was to blame teen suicides on music. Maybe a bit long if you need to read it to the class.

I'll take a look at it, even though I may not use it. Maybe for some ideas and to help improve my writing, but it is a good topic. Here is my email
I also have to do a persuasive speech, but not for another week or two. My teacher is considering a ban on sports since I've used it on almost everything so far and so has half my class (BTW I got an A on the Fantasy Baseball Speech, and I got extra points because I had "extensive knoledge" of the topic).
My idea would be about the DH rule since you can find info on it and you can take a firm position. Just feel passionate about your position and be clear. Good luck!
I found a topic to use, Alcohol should be banned at sporting venues. It is more current than your topic Lo, so I decided to do it on the alcohol thing.
Does anyone know the first place and the date that beer sales started at a sporting venue? I've been looking for a while and can't find it.
