I started the year about 300 pts out of 1st according to my program, made a few trades (thanks to the cafe for helping me out) and now have made up that enormous deficit, and lead by 10 pts. Of course this is with last years numbers, but its a good indicater IMO. Just hope I can stay injury free :knock on wood:.

Is there any move you would suggest I make now?

Scanning my team RP seems to be the weak point.

IF: Chavez/Boone/Ortiz/Young should be a studly IF, or should I move boone?

OF: Edmonds/Sheff/Patterson/Hidalgo, again lots of power, some speed, anything you see I should move in here?

Util: Durazo/Byrnes/Izturis: Eh, not much going on here

SP: Santana/Peavy/Ol Perez/Buehrle/Lackey Am I going to get enough wins? Pirates or Padres improved over last year?

RP: Rincon/Linebrink Middle relievers who will be serviceable.

Any advice you give is great, rate/grade/critqiue/strength/weakness/other, just want to see what you guys think and what moves I should make now?

thanks a million. :-)

for a 12 team league i think you did very well. obviously at this point you are all but punting saves, but unless you can get a decent RP without sacrificing too much power, I would just watch the waiver wire and see if anyone goes down and be quick to pick up their replacement (or just drop linebrink right now and pick up urbina hoping he gets traded to the mets/cubs).

personally i hate boone but he's probably fine considering 12 people (i ended up with castillo in an 11 team league). i say sit pretty for now, see what's going on, and don't make a trade until the end of april unless you can get a steal.

It looks like you punted saves, which is fine, because you ended up pretty good overall. But saves score pretty high in your league... i'd try to trade for some. Maybe use some of the outfield depth you have accumulated for a good RP... just my opinion.

thanks for taken the time and helpin!

I've actually had this team for a couple weeks now, but been through several trades and pickups, just made a blockbuster trade, so I wanted to see how my new team looks.

This league has every closer and every potential closer already picked up and on a team. With 8 pts a save, ppl value them quite a bit. Uggie was actually drafted, so no chance for him.
