Carpenter for Matsui straight up?

Postby lachlanoddy » Tue Mar 29, 2005 4:36 pm

C Carpenter for H Matsui straight up.

To me this seems to be a little lopsided toward the side getting Hideki. Agreed? And by how much? Is it horribly one sided? The side getting carpenter has only 3 SP (BAD ones at that... Greinke, Garcis and Wood) and is in a bind for more...

That's a horrible deal for the Carpenter side.

If you are getting Matsui make the deal. If you are getting Carp tell the guy the deal is off and you drank a little too much when you offered it. :-D

Ha ha ha.

I am dealing with a first timer on this trade, and I just want to make sure that I guage everything fairly and that he sees the repsective values. I don't like screwing people over in the slightest. I kne carp was not worth Mats but wasn't sure by how much. Do you think that throwing in Carp + Mags or Carp + Weaver would be fair? Or would that over-compensate?

Don't flip Carp for Hideki!

Speaking of lop-sided trade offers, check out this whopper I received today:

I give: Manny and Juan Pierre
I get: Barry Bonds and Vinny Castilla

Give me a break. Some people just don't think!
