This Years Sleepers, Who Do You Like??

Postby HestonRifle » Tue Mar 29, 2005 9:11 am

Who do you think this years most productive sleepers will be? Last year my team was full of them (Santana, Peavy, Oliver Perez, Young, Hafner). I only got to keep one of those guys, so I'm scanning the waiver wire as we speak. Whats your thoughts?

Much thanks in advance.

I'm really high on John Thompson of the Braves. Here are his 2004 post-all-star-break numbers:

8-1, 2.45 era, 1.16 whip, .245 baa

agreed on Thomson David Wright was a steal but hes received to mcuh hype so too many people know about him now. Reyes he is well known but everyone thinks he will get injured this year he has worked harrd to get in shape and looks very strong this year to play well those are my sleepers.

Hah, sorry about the caps, but I thought it'd add to the effect of having not seen this dude's name in a looong time :-D

I just picked him up, what do you guys think of him? He had that awesome 40+ HR season 2 years ago, and last year he was on a really good pace when he was playing.

Reports so far indicate that he's still got the mashing going, but he's got some scar tissue in his ankle to work through and he's a little tentative to test it full-out.

He's a Util player on Yahoo.
