Is this guy yet another gem produced by the A's farm system? How well do you guys feel he'll fair as a starter this year?

Id say.
Id say leaning a little bit more towards Harden's number last year
like 4.3
1.25
10
170 (depends on IP obviously, if he gets as many IP as harden last year i thin khe could hit this. prob will be limited though because hes young)
cross your fingers for missouri

Probably about right. Pitching in that stacked division is not going to make his life any easier.

ZIPS projects him to have a 3.89 ERA but only about 150IP he has an unspectacular k/9 so i wouldn't expect more then 100K's.
Me personally i see a low 4 ERA with 150-160IP and a k/9 in the high 6's.

Most people see a mid-4's ERA but honestly I see him with a mid-high 3's ERA, very good WHIP, and moderate K's. Around 6.2 K/9. He dominated the PCL last year. When people see his 4.19 ERA they don't see dominance but trust me he was probably the best minor league pitcher last year.

care to explain why? he had a 4.19 era. i'm just not seeing how that can be called dominance

4.2 K/BB and 0.66 HR/9. That's what it's all about. He was dominant. And that's what I mean by people seeing his ERA and thinking he won't be very good. They'll be surprised.

Not only that, the PCL is like the Coors Field of the minor leagues. (not a great analogy but you get the point)
