Which is the better bet for this season?

I would go with Bedard. Don't look at last year's stats so much, he is finally healthy and has always been a bigger prospect. His potential is much better.

Agreed and don't be put off by him having to pitch in a tough division. As the O's slated 3rd starter, he should miss the home /away series against both the Yankees and Red Sox and instead face Oakland, Tampa Bay, Detroit and Toronto in April.
